Hi Mike,

I have been waiting to read about your experience in the income/outcome business simulation.

I am one of the original designers of the simulation, and I am very interested in your comments about the game in the context of your MBA program. (Most of our users are corporate, they use the simulation to create a big picture understanding of business.)

You have a broad curriculum that covers finance, accounting, economics, etc., so I think the use of the game at Coles is different. I have lots of questions.

How do you see the simulation fitting in with the individual subjects? Do you see the simulation helping you in any (or all?) of the these areas? Does it help you to 'integrate' the learning (e.g. making connections between finance and accounting).

So far, which is most useful to you - the visual of the game board or the experience of the simulation?

I know that in business, managers continue to use the visual as a matrix for organizing ideas - when thinking about a project, they close their eyes and play a few scenarios out on a game board as a quick way to identify the interconnections. I will be interested in hearing if you have a similar experience in your studies.

Best wishes, eliza
